This Cookie Policy explains how Rhomax SA (“Rhomax”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on rhomaxsa.com (the “Website”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

It is provided in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, for visitors in the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep it secure, and understand how it is used. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage; we refer to all of these as “cookies” in this policy.

How we use cookies

We group cookies into the categories below. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them. All other cookies are set only after you give consent through our cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time.

1. Strictly necessary

Required for the Website to work and to keep it secure. These do not require consent.

• cf.turnstile.u (local storage) — Cloudflare Turnstile — protects the contact form from spam and abuse; stored in your browser’s local storage by Cloudflare’s challenge service (challenges.cloudflare.com), not as a cookie — persists until you clear your browser storage.
• darwin_gdpr — Rhomax — stores your cookie preferences so we don’t ask on every visit — [6–12 months].
• wordpress_*, wp-settings-* — Rhomax (WordPress) — session and preference cookies set only for logged-in site administrators; they are not set for ordinary visitors — session to 1 year.

Loading the contact form also connects your browser to Cloudflare (challenges.cloudflare.com), which may process technical data such as your IP address to distinguish humans from bots. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

2. Analytics — consent required

Help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it. Set only with your consent.

• _ga — Google (Google Analytics 4) — distinguishes unique visitors — 2 years.
• _ga_[CONTAINER-ID] — Google — maintains analytics session state — 2 years.

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Analytics data may be transferred to and processed by Google in the United States; such transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and their Swiss equivalent. 3. Third-party services

Our Trakk page hosts the Trakk (by Komgo) document-verification widget, a third-party tool. When active, it may set its own cookies or use local storage under Komgo’s own policies.

Managing your cookies

• Consent banner: adjust or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
• Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge each provide instructions). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Website from working.
• Google Analytics opt-out: you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Legal basis

For strictly necessary cookies we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and the corresponding provisions of the revFADP. For analytics and any other non-essential cookies we rely on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.
